What is Dilli Haat
India's craft encompass a rich heritage of skills, motifs, designs, identities
and expression. It is by far the largest living tradition in the world. Dilli
Haat is a unique space that brings India's old tradition of open market places
to contemporary Delhi. It offers a Kaleidoscope of crafts people and glimpse of
the varying traditions in the cultural life of India through regional cuisines
and cultural events.
Dilli Haat is a testimony to the fact
that despite modernity and its aggressive onslaught, many traditional crafts
skills have survived and have evolved new parameters in aesthetic and
commercial value.
The first Dilli Haat was established by DTTDC in 1994 as a permanent market
